Little headaches all the time

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody, for the past couple weeks I've been having slight headaches. They're so minor that most of the time I can ignore them and put them totally out of my mind, but they have been coming back again and again, all times of the day. I had a cold the week before last so I thought maybe it was related to sinuses, but I've been better for a while now, but the headaches are still there. Has anyone else had this? I have a doctor's appointment this Friday, so I'll definitely ask there, but I wanted to see if this is a common thing. Oh, I'll be 3 months out on the 11th. I get my 64 oz of fluids and my 60 grams of Protein a day, and I take my Vitamins (a bariatric multi w/ Iron, a Calcium chew, a b-complex, and a Biotin chew). I doubt it's dehydration. My bp has been very good at all my checkups. Any ideas on what this might be?

How many calories/food are you eating? If you caloric intake is too low that can cause headaches.

I would try upping fluids. 64 ounces might not be enough for you. Presleeve we consumed so much more volume we got Fluid even in some food and lots of drinking. I think rapid weight loss can cause chemical and hormone changes and whatever is stored in that fat. I think Water helps us flush toxins and I wonder if you don't need more.

Btw, I used to get hunger headaches but post sleeve I never do. My experience-it's more likely to be mild, chronic dehydration.

I normally fall between 600-800. I averaged about 710 this past week.

I had these in the beginning as well, and once I got to the point of better consistent Fluid intake they went away. Keep following your plan, and they will go away.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
