Slimsoon1988 123 Posted February 28, 2015 Hi all, Since everyone in the preop forum has been so great to me over the past few months, I thought I would put my post op story here as a check in. Today makes 3 days since surgery. I'm still in the hospital. I'm being released in a few hours. I'm only in the hospital because my first two days I wasn't getting in as much liquids as they would have liked, but by day 3 I corrected that..The only pain I feel is the pain from the incision and gas pains. I've never had true gas pains until after this surgery. Both of my pains are being managed through medication and walking around the hospital. After surgery, I feel that I walk like a mummy but hopefully that would soon change. In the hospital im drinking broth, Apple juice, and Water. I can't imagine me having anything more than that. I'm so stuffed after a few sips, but I'm sure as time goes on that will change.. I am interested to see how I will tolerate my Protein Drinks that I have at home. Anyways, I can't think of anymore. Again, I want to thank everyone for their support and let you all know I'm fine.. For those who have upcoming surgeries coming up Good Luck and Best Wishes! Slimsoon1988 123 Posted March 1, 2015 I had mine with Dr. Binetti. Albany Med took care of me. I had my own room which was nice. The doctors/nurses were in no rush to discharge me and I was in no rush to leave. So I spent 3 days there. Those days really helped me with recovery. Good luck tomorrow!
