Post surgery update

2 days post op........went very well day one, almost too good. Key is stay up on pain mess. Day two was good until I got home from Hospital and gas cramping started, very painful for about 8 hours. Day three is starting to get rid of phlegm from being down, not fun. Pain is a 4 or 5. Hope tomorrow. Is better, need to get back to work

oh my that gas pain was right up there with childbirth..I couldnt even sit..keep up on pain meds at night..I only took mine at night after first 3 days..helped me to sleep...hang in there

Can you take GasX to deal with this?

I had terrible gas pain for the first week. I found that narcotics did not help at all. What worked for me was 3 things:

1. A heating pad while I was sitting/laying

2. Walking as much as I could

3. Gas x chewables

Once I found the above which was the day I came home, I was much more comfortable. I stopped taking pain meds 2 days after I left the hospital. They just did not seem to help.

Way way way worse than child birth pains for me, but that may be because I am a guy
