SuperKen 231 Posted February 27, 2015 I had a stressful situation that happened Wednesday afternoon dealing with a professor at a college I'm attending. It started with me asking at simple question and the Professor not listening and misunderstanding the my question and he the professor reading me the riot act and telling me how bad a student I am. Needless to say I went off on him and then asked my question again like he was a mentally ill 1 year old. He then said "oh I didn't realize you were asking about that!" He continued, "you can see why I misunderstood your question, so the next time you need to ask your question in a different way!" I thought to myself WHAT A F'n Idiot! This bothered me so badly that I began eating unconsciously and didn't notice it until the evening of the next day. Emotional trigger! God I'm so disappointed in myself for allowing someone to get to me and make me start harming myself again!!!
Jovie62 135 Posted February 27, 2015 DO NOT be disappointed in yourself!! This is a journey and there are going to be bumps in the road! Just let it go and get back on track. The moment of weakness does not define you or your dreams!
Rogofulm 2,440 Posted February 27, 2015 You've come so far, and you're getting close enough to your goal that you can almost reach out and touch it. Throughout my life, that was the point where I'd bag it and the weight would start coming back on. But this is different. Use your sleeve as a crutch in times of stress. Choose a walk and some fresh air instead of food. Don't let this throw you. Your sleeve will keep you on track if you let it. Most of all, don't give others the power to sabotage your success. And pleeeez, don't go to the "well I've already blown it today so I may as well eat other stuff I've been missing." That will only set you back further. Just leave it in the past and go back to the eating habits that helped you lose over 200 freakin' pounds!!!

SeahawksFan 444 Posted February 27, 2015 But look you realized it before it became a problem. So give yourself some kudo's and forget about him. ~LA
