cisco29 0 Posted April 4, 2008 Has anyone had trouble with their hair falling out? It has been 4 mos since my surgery and my hair is really thinning. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
Kat817 19 Posted April 4, 2008 There are lots of threads concerning Hair loss cisco--it is quite common. It ranges from mild, to fairly severe---losing over half your hair.< /strong> There are many guesses as to why it happens. One Dr. will say it is not enough protein--others say that has nothing to do with it, it is just from the shock to the body, in regards to the sudden change of diet. Yet others relate it to the anesthesia. If you are taking a good Multivitamin, and keeping your Protein up, do not eliminate all the fat from your diet, treat your hair gently, and eventually it will stop, and grow back in. I suffered from severe loss. My protein intake stayed high, I know for a solid fact that had nothing to do with mine. It lasted until about 11 months out, and quit as suddenly as it seemed to start. I had some health problems a few months ago, and due to a tumor on my thyroid, my diet once again changed, concerning what I could or could not swallow---I had surgery, and am now dealing with some hair loss again--although not nearly as severe. If I had an answer for you I would be the hit of LBT----unfortunately, I don't---I just know it will eventually quit and regrow----stressing over it will not help. Sorry you too had to experience this problem.... Kat

Amoud 0 Posted April 29, 2008 Here is a recipe I use occasionally, great source of Protein and easy. 450 gms trimmed chicken livers 10-15 clives minced garlic (this is definatly as per your taste) 1 medium-large onion 2 tbsp EVOO salt to taste juice of 1 lemon and zest Dry fry the livers till they loose their pinkness and set aside. Fry 1 tbsp of the oil and the onion until really soft, then add garlic and lemon zest. Let everything cool down a bit (not cold) I put it all in the food processor, and add lemon juice to liquify. Take small moulds (equally divide mixture into 4) and spray with some pam. Fill the moulds and refridgerate. I eat this with carrot and cucumber sticks. High protein. Here is calorie counts analysis Good points Low in sodium Low in sugar Very high in iron Very high in niacin Very high in pantothenic acid High in phosphorus Very high in riboflavin Very high in selenium Very high in vitamin A High in vitamin B6 Very high in vitamin B12 Very high in vitamin C High in zinc Bad points Very high in cholesterol Nutrition Facts Serving Size 164.2g Amount Per Serving Calories 274 Calories from fat 128 % Daily Value* Total Fat 14.2g 22% Saturated Fat 3.3g 17% Cholesterol 633mg 211% Sodium 88mg 4% Total Carbohydrates 7.0g 2% Dietary Fiber 0.8g 3% Protein 28.4g Vitamin A 300%•Vitamin C 61%Calcium 3%•Iron 74%* Based on a 2000 calorie diet

's not 3or 4oz. 3or 4 meals a day and eat what you like in very small portions, and chew your food well, drink plenty of Water. and your Proteins drinks , and Vitamins too, but, ask you doctor... margie, was unband 1/23/08 KEEP STRONG , YOUR DOING A GREAT JOB, LITTLE STEPS TURNS TO A MILESTONE.....
