Sabl3r 15 Posted May 7, 2015 ***Update*** had surgery at 8:45 am yesterday. It was supposed to be 7:15 but I got bumped. They provided me with something for the anxiety. I came to in the recovery room but in a lot of shoulder and chest pain from the gas. I was given pain meds and passed out. I awoke in my room and experienced a lot of gas pain and severe nausea. I'm not going to lie, the aftermath was very uncomfortable and I was constantly asking for pain and nausea meds. By night fall I was feeling MUCH better and was able to walk. I had interrupted sleep last night but that's to be expected when you have nurses coming in all night. Today, I feel great! I do have some soreness in my abdomen but it feels like I did too many crunches. The nausea non existent and I've been cleared to go home. For those of you about to go in, yes it will suck at first and then it gets better quick. Just rest, walk when your ready, don't be afraid to ask for meds, and moisten your mouth frequently for dry mouth. Good luck to you all!!

mamsinator 16 Posted May 8, 2015 Hello I really should post this on the post op side I am a May sleever- I had my surgery May 4th, Monday. I got home yesterday. I can honestly say everything played out just as everyone said it would. It was not too bad at all, Some gas pains but nothing too bad. I was up and walking the same day. Now I am home and still on Clear Liquids till next week. It is a process trying to get in all the Protein and fluids. Isopure takes care of both and is a big help. Good luck and no worries. I will check in with all the may sleevers. the mams
