New Whey Protein Tube?

Recommended Posts

I bought a few of these Protein tubes that contain, 42g of protein with 0g sugar and fat. Has anyone used these? They are a bit sweet but since it's a small amount its easier to get down sometimes. Curious if others use

Are you consuming the whole thing in one sitting? If so it is unlikely you are absorbing all of those 42 grams of Protein. There is a limit to how fast our bodies can process and absorb protein. The conventional wisdom I've always heard is under 30 grams at a time.

for a sleeve depending on the size of your sleeve, it can be as much as 40. is what is on my worksheets from my nutritionist , anything over that is just extra. the smaller the size of the sleeve the quicker things pass through without being absorbed (has to dow ith less surface area i think,?) I've seen a lot of new Protein gels and of course gummies ( but those gummies have a ton of sugar so watch out) but since it has no sugars or carbs hey why not, if it helps you get what you need and your fluids are still getting in, then personally i cant see why not, but i would definitely ask your nutritionist.

Oh also, i dont know if whey Protein isthe same as whey protein isolate, i think the isolate is a more refined version so you can absorb it better, but I cant say with definitive poisitivity.

Those usually contain collagen as the primary form of Protein which doesn't have the amino acids we need to process it. In other words, you do not get 42 grams of protein because our bodies cannot absorb it in this form. In general, stay away from these bullet type protein tubes. They are a waste of money. I know Protein Shakes get old but there is a reason we are told to drink them.

Nutrients are not absorbed in the stomach. They are absorbed in the small intestine mostly with some extra in the large intestine. The stomachs job is to churn and store, not absorb. Have at it with the protein! & collagen as a primary source of Protein? That sounds like junk science to me. Read the label.

I have been pouring 1/2 of one into my Water or VitaminWater 3x daily. I had to look at the label, it is a blend of collagen Protein Isolate, whey Protein, and Casein protein. My surgeon approved them so I feel comfortable drinking them.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
