What is a typical day of eating for you?

Recommended Posts

My typical day

Premier Protein shake on the way into. Work.

P3 Protein snack around 10:30

Sliced sausage with a veggie or leftovers from the night before. I love shrimp sautéed in butter and garlic too for lunch around 1

String cheese or hard boiled egg around three or 4. I like beef Jerky too.

I have been loving 4% ground beef patties with Swiss cheese on top and a roasted veggie for dinner. I do chicken breasts a lot too.

13 days P/o. Today it was Premier Protein "hot chocolate" Breakfast. 1.5 oz liverwurst with horseradish mustard for lunch. I'm having diet s apple now. I will probably have 1/4 cup of lobster bisque (strained) for dinner and another "hot chocolate" before bed to get my 60g of Protein in for the day.

I was sleeved in June. Today I have had a banana, a cup of coffee, a Protein Bar, a cheese stick, half a grill cheese sandwich and some mini-pretzels with Peanut Butter. Also, about 32 oz of Water. For dinner, I will have a small chicken tigh and some cabbage. I eat everything on a small saucer. Not sure of the size though. I realize when I work out, I have to eat more. It varies a little every day but not much. I eat a lot of boiled eggs, peanut butter and drink a lot of shakes too.

I don't have a typical day. It varies depending on my activities. Today is a light day because I didn't go to the gym. On non gym days I eat lighter and really watch my carbs.

Breakfast was a scrambled egg with cheese and hot chocolate with a scoop of Protein powder.

lunch was a scrambled egg with cheese and grits

dinner will be a cup of Soup and I'll probably add a scoop of Isopure naked to it.

I may have an orange as a snack if I get hungry.

On gym days I have a pre-gym Protein Drink with Fage 0% Greek yogurt, Protein Powder mixed with Water. Add in vary as to how I am feeling. Sometimes fruit, sometime a bit of cacao powder, sometimes almond butter, etc....

lunch , then dinner. I try to have a salad with Protein for dinner or a protein and a spinach for dinner. Afternoon snack are always optional if I am hungry.

I am vegetarian so my Proteins are typically Beans, tofu, TVP and occasionally a non meat product like Beyond meat or Gardein.

I average 70 - 80gms of protein and day and try to keep carbs below 50.

I don't know. I think I eat pretty much the same way I ate pre-WLS. Beans a veggie burgers always felt pretty dense to me and they certainly are filling.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
