Elode 8,093 Posted February 22, 2015 @@sunflowerchild Ok good to hear. I wish I had thick hair to start with but I don't. It's not Horrible yet but I put a Head wrap on before I cook. It freaks me out to think a hair might fall in the food! Gross! That's instant vomit for me if I get a hair in my mouth!
*Lexie* 1,486 Posted February 22, 2015 Mine fell out like crazy for about a month and stopped as suddenly as it started. Now my nails are cracking and breaking. Hopefully yours is short like mine was. I didn't even notice that I lost any but I have really thick hair.
Elode 8,093 Posted February 22, 2015 I hope so too. I keep my nails short so I probably wouldn't notice that.
MichiganChic 3,262 Posted February 22, 2015 @@MichiganChic Oh my goodness! 8 months! I don't have that much hair to begin with. I may have to cancel the extensions and buy a wig! Yeah, it was really rough. I went to a dermatologist, got injections and magic potions, and I think they did help because I noticed it slowing down after that. I also used an absurdly expensive Shampoo and Vitamin combo he prescribed, but I think that helped, too. It was all just super slow recovery.
Elode 8,093 Posted February 22, 2015 @@MichiganChic Do you remember what your calorie intake was at that time? And Protein?
MichiganChic 3,262 Posted February 23, 2015 At 3 months, I ate about 500-600 calories a day. At about 4-6 months, I was at 600-700. From 6 months to a year, I was 800-900. Since then, I average around 1000-1400. I have always gotten in at least 75gm Protein a day.
finediva 979 Posted February 23, 2015 Haven't lost a strand at 7 months out. I've had three c sections, major hernia repair surgery and vein stripping surgery on both legs. Never lost a strand those times either. My Protein intake has been modest.....about 60 grams most days. I take regular Vitamins.< /p>

Elode 8,093 Posted February 23, 2015 @@Praiseiii Sorry it can be scary but not so much if you prepare for it. That's the only reason why I didn't freak out. I already knew even before surgery that it could happen.
