jenniferg2013 7 Posted February 22, 2015 I'm in my 2 week liquid diet but cant find the right Protein Shake. I can't stand that they're all so sweet. I have been using Unjury products. Any suggestions to help me get through this?
Chele H 427 Posted February 22, 2015 That's a hard question to answer as everyone's taste is different. I did not like Unjury at all...too sweet and I love sweets! Premier Protein is the only one I can drink, still drink one every day.
LSF 264 Posted February 22, 2015 I also love Premier Protein shakes. costco sells them by the case and I've heard that Stop & Shop Supermarkets now sell the 4 packs
sunflowerchild 146 Posted February 22, 2015 Unjury makes a chicken broth that you could try.
Elizabeth21 176 Posted February 22, 2015 (edited) I weaned off shakes altogether beginning week 3, so hang in there, you won't have to deal with them forever. I also added unflavored Protein to foods/drinks to up Protein intake without using shakes. (I like it in diet lemonade and bouillon.) I ordered GENEPRO from Amazon.com. One teaspoon adds 10 grams protein. Good luck! Edited February 22, 2015 by Elizabeth21
Kindle 8,667 Posted February 22, 2015 (edited) I thought everything was too sweet postop... Including my chewable Vitamins. I had to switch to capsules. So I just dilute all Protein powders with at least twice as much liquid as the directions say to. I mix the premier RTD 1/2 and 1/2 with milk. I still do this 14 months out. Also, mixing unflavored Protein powder in broths and cream Soups makes for a savory alternative to all the sweet shakes. There are SO MANY Protein options out there. I personally like Syntrax nectar and Matrix, BSN Syntha 6, Muscle Milk, Spirutein and Raw Fit/Raw Protein. Those last ones are not nearly as sweet as a lot of other ones. The single serve sample packs available from Nashua Nutrition allows you to taste test dozens of different brands and flavors before buying a big jug. JerzyTomato74 91 Posted February 22, 2015 Everyone has different tastes so the sweetness of Protein shakes will vary based on your taste buds. I'm not a big fan of very sweet Protein Shakes either. I drink Premier Protein RTD's which contain 30g of Protein per shake and I also like Syntrax Nectars vanilla Bean Torte.
