I was sleeved on 3rd February, I am doing really well and have only been sick once after eating tuna!. I was normally always hot and even in winter I could wear shorts and tshirts indoors. This is not the case now, indoors I have found hat I need to wear socks, long trousers and sometimes 2 tshirts. Whenever I go to bed the electric blanket can be on but my feet are still freezing cold. Please tell me that it's not just me and it gets better xx ????

I was sleeved on the 9th. I've been told the coldness is a side effect of surgery. Last night I had a heating blanket plus 2 more blankets.

I was sleeved on 2/4 but when I'm cold it's been like 0 degrees outside. Sometimes I have to climb into my bed to warm up but I also sleep in a summer gown all year and do get toast warm in my bed.

Perfectly normal after surgery. I live in Florida and I'm cold most of the time as well.

We also feel colder because of our new, slower metabolisms. And that's not something that will ever fully resolve.

This normal after surgery. The layers that use to keep us warm are gone. We must get use to it. I'll take a sweater over my old fat!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
