Approved, but concerned BMI may drop below 40

I was approved on 2/9. My current BMI is 40.7. I'm concerned that with the liquid diet my BMI will drop below 40 and the insurance company not want to pay after surgery. I have a pre-op appt on Thursday and will ask then. Anyone have experience with this?

Your weight at this point should not matter. You probably had to have a bmi of 40 without comorbidities for surgery approval. If you have a surgery date they approved you so you have nothing to worry about.
