VGB 130 Posted February 21, 2015 I had surgery on the 16th but I am scared that I won't lose any weight!! I know this is not common but this is my fear!
joatsaint 2,814 Posted February 21, 2015 I know where you're coming from. I too had thoughts of, "what if I'm the one person this doesn't work for?" Trust me, this is completely different from any diet you've ever tried. Now you have a tool that will force you cut back on the calories, and if you stay with the planned food stages, your taste buds and carb craving will be reset. This is your chance for a do-over. You can do it. We were all right where you are, right before and right after surgery. In a month, you won't believe how you life will begin to change for the better. 1Day1Life4Now 882 Posted February 21, 2015 VGB... don't worry. You will lose, as everyone does. Your stomach is smaller (or will be if you haven't had surgery yet). You will eat so much less that you can't help but lose weight. Just remember.... exercise is an important part of the equation and if you want to lose the most you can you have to get your rear in gear and work if off. Good luck and enjoy the process. *Lexie* 1,486 Posted February 21, 2015 I thought the exact same thing. Especially because in the first week or two I was on liquids and couldn't feel the restriction yet. Honestly, I still think it from time to time but it keeps me motivated to keep working.
