I found a "recipe" that just calls for taking Protein powder & adding enough milk or Water to turn it into batter consistency & making pancakes out of it. I'm a little suspicious to try it, but I might give it a shot.

I made one the other night with two frothed egg whites and a 25g shake sachet. Can't remember whether I put any yoghurt in it, but I did have some on top. It was very fluffy, not as heavy as a regular pancake. It was quite big, too.

I've made one with just the shake mix and milk or Water and it made a very small pancake, but it was still quite filling.

I add stevia, Benefiber plus 10g of another powder I have that's disgusting but really good protein-wise. None of these extras are really necessary.

I just got done eating Protein pancakes. I like them. I take one egg and beat it with a little cinnamon and vanilla flavoring. Then I stir in one scoop of vanilla flavored Protein Powder and add milk or Water to thin it out. It makes about three pancakes and they have almost 40 grams of protein and only 5 carbs. I use lite Syrup or sugar free syrup on them.

I can't not tolerate Protein Shakes so this way I get my protein powder in and it's surprisingly tasty. They feel like a treat.

I make Protein pancakes all the time. I use Greek Yogurt and egg beaters and Unjury unflavored protein powder along with either Bisquick or whole wheat flour. I also use flax seed to add a bit of Fiber. There are tons of recipes out there, look for one that is low in calories and high in protein.

Try this pancake. So relish, and easy to make. It will make 2-3 pancakes, and I can only eat one so I have enough for next day breakfast!

1 banana

2 egg whites

1/2 tsp baking powder

2 tbls of PB2 (optional, but adds lots of flavor)

Mash banana well. Whisk egg whites, add baking powder, PB2 powder and mashed bananas. Pour on hot griddle! Enjoy! I can't eat butter, so I use a little bit of Bremmel and Brown yogurt spread and a tiny bit if Syrup.< /p>

Newbie question...what is PB2? Thanks in advance.

Sorry Kalberto66 for not responding sooner! PB2 is a powdered form of Peanut Butter and adds peanut butter flavor without the calories. I get mine through Amazon. I also use it in smoothies and baking!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
