Cebbert... go towards the front of this post and look for the 2 people who are the admins for the FB page. You need to send one of them a private message through here with your FB name and description of your profile pic just so they will have the right person. We are trying to be sure we add the right people as we won't it to be a small group of just Feb people.

Hey guys! I just got sleeved on 2/25 in Guatemala! I'm feeling fine most of the time, but I feel a bit hungry, especially when others around me are eating normal food. I've also become quite fed up with all of this soup/protein drink crap! It all tastes gross, which has sort of made me lose my appetite. Then again, maybe I'm a bit biased (I'm a chef). Anyhow, would love to be a part of the Facebook group and have a chance to hear more about what you guys are going through!

Sleeved on February 9... Down 20 pounds and the last 3 days been in a stall. I'm wicked annoyed. Am I eating too much? I feel like I could eat a steak dinner. I'm doing great! No complaints at all. What am I doing wrong? I'm eating yogurt, cottage cheese and Soup. That's it! I do have hunger pains... I feel like I am starving sometimes!

I also had my surgery on the 9th, I stalled last week too for a few days so I stopped weighing myself every day - only once a week now and I am losing steadily every week. My total weight loss is 36 lbs, 19 lbs since surgery (as of last Friday!) Which means I am averaging a pound a day!

Also - make sure you are drinking at least 64 ounces of Water every day - that is important for weight loss and will help keep you feeling full.

Hi, sleeves 2/11 lost 10 pounds in the first week. Seriously upset though bc the scale hasn't budged in a week. I do have a hard time getting in enough fluids and Protein but I am walking 30 min every day on top of my normal housework. I have zero heartburn or difficulty getting my soft foods in. But for example yesterday was an egg w cheese a babybel cheese and a half a piece of cod but I was so full I couldn't look at anything else. Is my body that stubborn it won't kick the weight off? Aside from not being hungry I'm wondering why I did this! I just feel alone bc all my husband can say is "I don't know you're beautiful anyway" ... While I adore is answer I just wonder if I'm alone out there ... Sorry for the rant just very frustrated this morning

Just keep at it! A weight loss stall is normal around 3 weeks. Make sure you are getting at least 64 ounces of Water in every day. It is important to keep you kidneys healthy with all the protein you are taking in and is important to help with weight loss. I have to sip water constantly throughout the day to get it in and in the first week after surgery I actually set the alarm on my phone to go off every 5 minutes to remind myself to sip something.

Maybe try journaling every day to help with your emotions and to help remember why you did this. Your lifelong health benefits by having this done and losing weight are priceless! I hope things are better for you this week.

It could be from all the fluids they pumped in as well as the gas. I would do some walking. I would think it would come off rather quickly. Good luck!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
