Beni 1,484 Posted February 23, 2015 I take a Peri-Colace tablet every night before going to sleep with a cup of herbal tea. I am now regular as a clock but I was in so much pain the first month after surgery, I thought I was going to need surgery to be able to go. It was the worst part about my surgery. wildGoose 207 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) Colace comes in a gel capsule. My experience with any laxatives is a little complicated. SmoothMove tea, which I buy from the herbal tea section at Safeway, the big California grocery store, is my favorite. I buy the Smooth Move Peppermint. You can also get it at Amazon or GNC. What I find is that no laxative works well if i do it all the time. So I find I have to mix it up somewhat. Constipation is my top complaint about this whole process. I have been using a combination of prunes, SmoothMove and colace. I don't go every day. But since I still don't eat very much, it seems to work if I go two or three times a week. Good luck. Ashlei Thomas 7 Posted March 15, 2015 For the prune juice try the "light " version. The Miralax no longer works for me so I drunk the Smooth Move over ice daily.
