Vitamins and supplements

I'm almost 7 months post op and I'm looking for some good Vitamins to take. I need something that will help with my energy level.

For years I took the generic brand from Sam's Club and never really notice a difference in my energy levels on the days I forgot to take them.

Recently, I tried a brand of Multivitamin that has whole food concentrates added. I'm not saying I have amazing energy levels because of it, but I do feel a bit of a boost on the days I do take them. I've tried 2 brands that have the whole food concentrate, and both seem to provide a nice energy boost for the day. The only down side is having to take 3 tablets a day.

Are you taking Vitamin B12 and/or Vitamin D? Are you getting enough Iron?

I take B12 daily, but no Vitamin d and I'm probably not getting enough Iron.

No tougher than any other Multi-Vitamin tablet. Just have to take 3 of them either 1 tablet 3 times a day or all 3 at once.

Ok. I have a hard time with regular Vitamins. I actually found one that is a mini tablet and ordered them from Amazon

I'm surprised your surgeon didn't put you on calcium citrate + D3 post-op. That seems to be pretty common practice for bariatric patients. I would definitely add D3, especially because it's winter. As for Iron, pretty much any Multivitamin should at least get you your daily recommended dose. Have you had bloodwork done recently?

I was never told to take the calcium citrate + d3. I haven't had bloodwork done lately either. I have an appointment with my PCP next week. I'll ask her to give me a script for the bloodwork
