LSF 264 Posted February 18, 2015 So I received a "get well" present from an old co- worker while I'm home recovering from revision surgery from band to sleeve. It was a box of chocolates!! I figured you all would get a laugh out of this one. Oh - she did know about the revision surgery also
Elode 8,093 Posted February 18, 2015 Awe it was a nice thought. Now throw it away! Or donate it to a skinny friend! Ha!!
Band2Sleeve2015 5 Posted February 18, 2015 That is awesomely funny! I'm so glad you are a friend that can laugh that off. Some are to quick to get offended or read wrong motives into a situation.

LSF 264 Posted February 18, 2015 I couldn't help but laugh. I put it away for now, will open when I have company on a future date. Can't re-gift because she wrote my name on the wrapper lol. She did buy "dark chocolate candies " to be healthier.

LSF 264 Posted February 19, 2015 Ha ha. Here's another one- 8 days post op I went to get a haircut. While in the chair, a guy in the salon was offering my hairdresser a truffle from a box of chocolates. He's holding the box next to my head, then pulls out the candy chart and has it in front of my face. I was like - WTF? Then he offered me one and I kept declining and he kept getting me to try one. I finally told him why I was declining and he was so sweet - looked shocked and said " you don't look heavy enough to need weight loss surgery"
JCP 619 Posted February 22, 2015 Actually you can freeze them and take out one a few months from now to have as a treat. I hardly touch sweets (they were my addiction) but have found I can have a small piece of candy now and then and one is all I want. And I can take it or leave it. Addiction whipped. jenbaby75 283 Posted February 22, 2015 I am on day 5 post op, and I have found that even the most well intentioned people have a difficult time grasping the concept of all liquids, no solids. They just don't get it.
Melanie36 71 Posted February 22, 2015 When I had my RNY, I was wheeled to my hospital room right after surgery, and my hospital roommate immediately turned on the food Network channel and watched it for like 6 hours straight. That was swell! ????
wannaBthinsoon 1,634 Posted February 22, 2015 Oh no @@Melanie36 The food Network?! REALLY?! That really should be banned at bariatric hospitals!!
