maxcimax 220 Posted February 17, 2015 I was 70 yrs & 5 mos. Glad I had this surgery. My skin sags but I can breathe better & my knees don't hurt. LOL. I wish I had done this a long time ago but this current type of Sleeve surgery wasn't around a long time ago. You really have to be to a point where food is no longer a big concern to you. I woke up one morning & realized I could care less about foods like pizza, ice cream, muffins, etc & that surgery was more important. I was going to have a lapband because I didn't know about the Sleeve. I called my cousin about the lapband (she has one) & she told me about the Sleeve. So glad she did. borg/assimilated 576 Posted February 17, 2015 I am 62, just had surgery 2/3. I had thought about it about 10 years ago but the sleeve wasn't as available then. I really didn't like the other WLS options. I have no comorbidities- just 100 lbs to lose! I didn't need it at 22 so I don't know how I would have felt about major surgery at that age. If you feel ready to undertake this after careful consideration, then you should.

aSleeveStory 128 Posted February 18, 2015 44, but felt much older. Now I feel so much younger! I was going to say the same thing in my reply... I felt many years past my 36 and now I'm slowly feeling like my mid-20s again.
