mandyboo 21 Posted February 16, 2015 How many nights in hospital did you stay? One company I spoke to said I'd stay one night, but the one I've chosen said 2 nights. Both were the same price. But one said I needed a 4 week milk pre op, and the other said a 10 day low calorie pre op diet. They differ so much. I'm in the uk.
Sarah Harrison 8 Posted February 16, 2015 I spent 1 night/24hr for observation. It was the hospital's policy, not the surgeon. I do know of some that have not had to spend the night at all. I'm in the US, so I'm not sure if it's different. Also, I had to do a 14 day High Protein 'Liver Shrink' diet before the surgery.
joatsaint 2,814 Posted February 16, 2015 I was in for 1 night. They only kept me that long to make sure my blood pressure and blood sugar levels were stable. After the leak test - the next morning - I was released.
