Surprisingly it went down 0 problems. Probably because I chewed the crap out of it and it's sure Protein. It was just a plain patty. No seasoning and it was grilled so low grease. It was small too but I feel so accomplished. Going from nothing last week to finally being able to tolerate a little bit is amazing. I'm not pushing it. Every Time I eat dairy I get sick so maybe I just need to stay away from it. Maybe applesauce is better for me.

I had my sleeve jan 5 I have not found any foods I can't eat. I choose to stay away from sugars. But have eaten fish sausage bacon beef with no problems. But I do chew the heck out of my food and I don't over do the portion size.

Yes! I think I'll try lunch meat with a baby bel soft cheese tomorrow. Just like a bite or two.

I still think you should focus on 4 Protein Shakes a day before you overdue it with food. And maybe some Soup - thick creamy Soups. We were sleeved the same week. I haven't started with meat yet- just soups, Greek yogurt and mashed potatoes w/ chili & cheese

My sleeve hates dairy so I'm off most dairy. So no creamed Soups. The baby bell was a no go. I got the okay to go to simple, soft/mushie Proteins like meatballs and lunch meat. It goes down super easy :) I can only do 2-2.5 proteins shakes a day because the volume is too much. I get all my 60 grams tho. I do a whey Protein shot that has 20 grams. I still struggle with Water but I'm slowly busy surely getting there. Thanks for all the comments and advice! I go in for another test today. Hopefully they tell me I don't need the feeding tube because I'm doing well on steroids.

You can't absorb collagen Protein as well as whey isolate don't waste your money.

Thanks for the info. That must be why I havent heard much about them on here. I'll stick to what I have then.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
