After eating solid foods.

Recommended Posts

Does anyone else spit a lot after eating solid foods? I think it's called frothing. But usually, with me it indicates that soon I will be throwing up.

I call it the slime. Yes, it's like my body is trying to move it through because it's stuck, but it always happens before I vomit. I think a lot of people get this.

Dumping.....Whatever you ate...You ate too fast....or you ate the wrong foods.....

You got to go slow and take very small bites....might have to puree it.....

Foamies! For me they happen if I eat too much. Even if I take one extra bite. My new stomach at work. I hate it when it happens. My body is a very good teacher.

Go slow and you can feel a pain as the food falls....That tells you whatever you are eating

you body does not want it or like it....

Sometimes i can only drink Water...My body is very sensitive to food...It has to be something

that has no sugar, no fat and no grease.....Once I eat something that I am not

suppose to eat and I dump.....My body becomes even more sensitive.....

Sometimes I can even drink Water without dumpinng if I dump that day.....

That requires me to continue to force fluids down my throat and puke until I

clean out the stuff that has caused me to puke.....

You do not want to go thur that.....

Yes I was doing that as well but then for dinner out that everything was just getting stuck due to scar tissue wrapping around my intestine causing a major blockage.... Therefore 2nd surgery and a week on the hospital.... Now 2 months out from original procedure I have to start all over at the beginning... Just got put back on pureed for the 2nd time..... Stomach is now smaller than what it was the first time.... Ugh so I too have to be very cautious of what and how gast I eat....

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
