Justajenn 65 Posted February 25, 2015 I had my surgery on a Friday and returned back to work on Wednesday. I'm a RN a work 12+ hour shifts in a hospital. Did two in a row and the girls I work with were great and did any lifting that was needed for me. No problem at all.
PrincessDeb 43 Posted February 25, 2015 I took 3 weeks off, but could have gone back after one. I had family down during that time and decided it would be better spent with them and taking it easy
kcleveland 15 Posted February 25, 2015 1 week was more than enough. I have a desk job though

Jovie62 135 Posted February 27, 2015 I planned on only taking one week but added 2 extra days because I was still tired. Going back tomorrow
livingstone 137 Posted February 27, 2015 I've planned two weeks (my surgery is this Sunday) but work are very flexible and my boss has said I should take whatever time I need. My only worry is that I have a work trip to Brussels the week I get back - early morning train, full day of meetings, overnight stay, another full day of meetings and late train back the following day. I'm a bit worried about how I'll handle it - it will be about 2 1/2 weeks post surgery. If that does get cancelled, and it might, I may ask to work from home for the third week.
