CC197823 42 Posted February 14, 2015 Congrats! I was approved in less then 24 hours as well. Grateful because I have a huge impatience problem and weeks of waiting would have drove me crazy. Hope you get your surgery date soon!

*mariposa43 85 Posted February 14, 2015 My Nut said it is the right time of the year for fast, and she was right. Put in my request for 1st week of March. Will hear for sure Monday or Tuesday what my date will be. I've been waiting since September, so I am ready.
vsg4missy 19 Posted February 14, 2015 Congrats! Aetna here too, my approval took a week, but still sooner than I thought. I started calling Aetna every two days to keep up with the status, making sure my file was moving. Best wishes to all in this year of the new US!
lovinlora78 1 Posted March 17, 2015 What Aetna plans did you all have? I have the Aetna Choice POS II & curious as to if it will possibly cover my surgery
*mariposa43 85 Posted March 17, 2015 I have Aetna for TRS ( teacher retirement system) in Texas. They offered us 3 plans. One excluded bariatric surgery and the other 2 allowed it. You should look at the plan book for your insurance to see if it is specifically excluded. For what it's worth: At the end of the day, it would have been cheaper to go to Mexico, because I had a 6300 deductible and a 5000 copay. Almost as much as paying cash at my doctor ( I think he charges 12,700.00).
