Liz,

I am confused. I had a Tummy Tuck and a breast lift on May 9th and I only have the hip to hip incision for my tummy tuck. What is the incision above the belly button for?

I also got a new belly button. I will be swollen for up to 6 months and can't wait until I can sleep without these girdles and bras but until then I will be lacking sleep. I also do not have pain either as I can still barely feel my incision area. I do feel my breast incisions but I still don't feel my stomach. My belly button is still big and that is to determine the amount of swelling that I still have but at least I can see my belly button. Once I lost my weight my button disappeared.

It seems as though you hardly have any swelling and that is a good thing.

Hi Josephine.

the incision upwards and above the tummy button is where they took skin away from my front which there for pulls in my sides where i had alot of loose skin, and pulls in my sides giving me my body shape back. Im glad that you are not suffering any pain , as im in a fair bit of pain still at the moment and also on alot of pain killers. The pictures are a little deceiving as i do have alot of swelling and this varies from day to day, im looking forward to getting into smaller clothes but with the swelling im still wearing my old ones. This will all come i time, i also just like u wear a body stocking, and it gives me alot of support, which i feel i really need at the moment.

Best wishes Liz xxxxxxxxxx

Thanks so much for posting your before and after pics. I think that there are alot of us that don't know anyone that has had a TT or PS, and it's awesome to see the HUGE difference that that can make. To be honest, I think that you're going to turn out awesome after the swelling goes down. Seriously...even swollen at just a few days post-op (in the second pic) the difference and your shape is startling. I (along with alot of people on here) can't wait to see what you'll look like in a couple of months. Congratulations!

First of all I have to say- Sugarplum you look FANTASTIC!!!! I am set to have my abdominalplasty and boob job August 29th. I have been keeping a log under "beginning of abdominalplasty/boob job. It is very slow going blog thus far but it does contain the prices that I will be paying and such for the person who asked that question earlier in the thread. I cannot wait to look as fantastic as those of you who have posted their Tummy Tuck pics so far. You all are truly an inspiration. Not to mention hotties now.

You look wonderful. Did it hurt? Did insurance cover it? May I ask how much weight you have lost? Thanks/

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
