Jazmundo 58 Posted February 11, 2015 Hey everyone I am 10 days post op. I am allowed Full liquid which includes yogurt, pudding, andhot Cereal and creamed Soups. But I cannot eat anything! A few bites and I feel like I'm full. I can't even take my chewable vitamins without feeling very very full. Has this happened to anybody else? I feel like I'm going to be anorexic but not by choice. smileyone86 18 Posted February 11, 2015 Oh no! I'm kind of opposite. I'm worried I'm getting too much down and it's not going to work for me. I have three Protein Shakes a day with skim milk, sf pudding cups, sf fudgesicles, unsweet tea, Water. I get full but never nauseous or anything. I hope you start being able to get stuff down! JamieLogical 8,713 Posted February 11, 2015 Can you try to describe exactly how you are feeling when you eat something?
Jazmundo 58 Posted February 12, 2015 I just feel very useful like it's in my throat almost. And I feel like I'm going to regurgitate

Jazmundo 58 Posted February 12, 2015 For example I can't drink 1- 8 oz Protein in less than 4 hours
Mumbas 7 Posted February 12, 2015 That's kind of what I felt like. Could keep much down either until my doc prescribed Reglan.
bacon 514 Posted February 12, 2015 I had a friend with the sleeve (I have the band) And he said he had swelling for about 3 weeks. It got better but IMO you may need to get your mind set on you will not be eating much for some time. Not sure if this will help.
Jazmundo 58 Posted February 12, 2015 True. Although suppose to be able to drink 3 Protein Shakes a day and I can barely drink one. That's not right
GeekMomChanging 48 Posted February 12, 2015 I'm in the same position. It has taken me all day to drink 16 oz Water and 3 oz Protein. 2 teaspoons and I full up into my throat.

It took me a month to hit 300 calories a day and I stuck there until about three months.
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted February 12, 2015 My seizure meds are huge ass pills and I couldn't take them both at the same time -- too full. I had to take one, wait an hour, take the other. I filled up on Vitamins most days so eating food was a NOPE.
Jazmundo 58 Posted February 12, 2015 Wow I guess it can be normal then.. I just feel like I should be able to tolerate more yA know. How far post op are you lipstick?
smileyone86 18 Posted February 12, 2015 I bet it's just the swelling is still bad and as it goes down you will tolerate more. Maybe mine didn't stay swollen long and that's the difference. I sure hope you feel better soon though.

I agree, i'm lucky I can at least tolerate the shake, speaking of which i'm tired of consuming it. it tastes so differently now that I'm post op. Wow I guess it can be normal then.. I just feel like I should be able to tolerate more yA know. How far post op are you lipstick? I also had surgery 9 days ago, it takes me forever to take my Protein shakes down, and probaby 3 teaspoons of Soup and i'm full. I have to wait 30 minutes to take my meds before I eat or drink rather. l was assured this is all normal.
