One day post op sudden pain

I was Sleeved yesterday and this morning I felt great! But this afternoon, after being taken off of IV meds, I started having excruciating abdominal pain and nasal congestion. I feel like such a baby because the nurse saw me crying, but I totally lost control. The liquid Lortab is helping a little, but too much movement starts up the pain agin. Please tell me it gets better.

I'm in the same situation. I felt ok until the iv came out. Very nauseous and in pain. They reconnected the iv. I'm still trying to go home.

I'm so sorry you're having such a tough time time. My surgeon came to pay me a visit and reassure me that the day after is the worst it will get and that tomorrow I will feel great. She also said that I need to try and pass gas to get the pain to go away.

Lol. seriously...after my 2 farts, i felt "reborn"!

Then you just deal with the discomfort of the insicions. Will feel like you did incredible situps. Thousands of them.

Then the real journey begins. Learning to eat and nursing your new tummy.
