HappyChic 32 Posted February 10, 2015 I'm new to this site - been lurking a bit and reading as much as I can about what I can expect both before and after surgery. I'm feeling anxious but excited. It felt like this day would never come. After making the decision to go ahead with Gastric Bypass back in August, I learned I needed to do 3 months of medically supervised weight loss. Those months flew by and, in hindsight, I think they will make me more successful after surgery - although I certainly didn't think so at the time. I went from my highest weight ever of 296 down to 258 during my MSWL. I'm really hoping for no complications tomorrow. I'm having a hernia repair at the same time. Looking forward to not having acid reflux or heartburn anymore:) I hope to be able to post again soon with a really great surgery story.

nybaby 6 Posted February 10, 2015 The best of luck tomorrow. I am exactly 2 weeks post op. The number one advise I can offer you is to get up and walk as soon as you are able to do so. It will help tremendously with gas pain, cause for surgery you know they fill your belly with gas. So with that being said, Good Luck, I wish you a speedy recovery
