sara7272 10 Posted February 9, 2015 Ok folks, what were must haves for you after surgery or things you wish you had? I.e.- gas strips, liquid Tylenol, etc
Susanjoyce392 66 Posted February 9, 2015 Comfy pajamas and slippers, Water flavor drops (water was rough for a long time), sugar-free cocoa and Stevia, Nutribullet to blend shakes with ice
Justajenn 65 Posted February 9, 2015 Alka-seltzer gas and heartburn chews worked way better for me than gas-x strips. Oh and Chapstick felt so good when I woke up!
Dt421 2 Posted February 9, 2015 Def A lip balm in the hospital, I am only a week out and I wish I would have researched this more before too. Now I am on the hunt for different Soups. And sugar free black cherry Jello is GREAT
Justajenn 65 Posted February 9, 2015 Oh and was so happy I packed my heating pad. I used it on my tummy for the first week.
reebat 3 Posted February 9, 2015 Yes to the heating pad. I also used it the first week. Another must haves has been my K-cup Soups. chicken and vegetable broth and cream of mushroom. I just pop them in the Kuerig coffee machine, and I sip on them all day. Has been keeping me from getting dehydrated because drinking plain Water has been tough. no onions 258 Posted February 9, 2015 @@reebat Where are you finding k-cup Soups? I read something about Campbell's creating a product, but haven't found anything online. I must not be googling the right thing? Thanks in advance!
aSleeveStory 128 Posted February 9, 2015 I think the gas strips really helped me early on. I didn't have any of the pains some speak f, but I did burp a LOT. Every time I took those I felt better. Coconut Water was easier for me to get down first week, than normal Water.< /p> The chick Soup powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein was a savior early on, too, as it was pretty hard to hit my numbers, but I loved that for some reason.
