I am 10 days post-op and the last 2 days I've feeling nauseous, light-headed and have no energy.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes yes yes that was me at 10 days. I a) made sure I was getting Vitamin B12 B) added some olive oil to broth and c) napped heavy for a few days. I've been feeling better. (Also I was naughty and had a big green olive for each of three days. olives are fine but I'm still on liquids. I chewed those suckers to death. They were marvelous.)

It's rough so soon after surgery. You aren't getting many calories and it's very hard to get all your Protein and Water in. Hang in there! If you get your Protein and Water, it really will help, even though it seems so hard.

I was pretty tired an miserable for several weeks post-op. Especially when I had to go back to work. The fatigue was a challenge for sure.

Dehydration maybe?

That's what I was thinking - try to get in more Fluid and see if that helps. Feel better!

I hope you feel better asap!! Are you having trouble getting in the fluids and Protein?

I plan on going back to work 8 days post op and am afraid for this exact reason. I am a nanny and it will be sooooo miserable if I am just feeling sick, lightheaded, exhausted AND having to prep food. I think I may ask surgeon if he recommends longer.

I too hope that you feel better very soon. I truly believe that most (not all) sleeved patients experience what you are going through. I am 8 weeks post op and I still feel those things on some days. A lot of it is probably dehydration, so its important if nothing else you get as much liquid in your system as you possibly can.

Because I became so terribly dehydrated, I wound up on in-home IV infusion for 10 days which is not fun at all. So sip, sip, sip and you'll hopefully feel a lot better.
