slangland 0 Posted February 6, 2015 So my SW was 262; my surgery weight was 243. My CW is 231. I was sleeved on 1/23. I've been stuck at 231 for 4 days now. I just started soft foods on Tuesday. What gives? I feel like 12 pounds in 2 weeks isn't enough weight loss.
downsizingdiva 459 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) That's more than I've lost in three weeks. 1/15 Be thankful. those little stalls happen : ) Edited February 6, 2015 by downsizingdiva
sleevydreams 48 Posted February 6, 2015 Our starting stats are almost identical. I was sleeved 1/7/15. My SW was 263, day of surgery was 248, CW is 225. That 225 just happened this morning after being stalled out at 227 for about 4 days. The stalls are aggravating but I've read a lot of people on here say they happen to just about everyone. Hang in there, at least we're on the losers bench!
Pepper123 320 Posted February 6, 2015 Before surgery i read just about everything the good and the bad...When my first stall happened i knew not to have a meltdown lol i just keep on exercising...and eventually the weight will move..
finediva 979 Posted February 6, 2015 Get used to the stalls, there maybe several more ahead. Sorry about the tough love. BTW, you are doing great with your current rate of losing. I've averaged 10lbs a month from the very beginning. October, I lost zero pounds.

Rogofulm 2,440 Posted February 6, 2015 Congratulations! You may be a little early, but you have reached The Dreaded Week-3 Stall. It's perfectly normal, and just about all of us have suffered through it. You're not crazy, and your doctor didn't screw up. In fact, you might not lose any weight for two weeks or even longer. But don't worry – after that, the weight will start falling off if you stick to your program. And, the inches will continue to come off even while the scale isn't budging. Here's a good article that explains why it happens and why we all have to go through it. Hang in there. Pretty soon it'll be in the rear-view mirror and you'll be dropping weight again! (Apologies to BP regulars who have seen this repeatedly, but it's a big deal to those who are going through it!)
lyyzza 0 Posted February 7, 2015 Thank you for the post and article. This was very helpful as I have also been in a stall. I am 3 weeks 1 day out, but have not moved since week 2.
