TheProfessor 378 Posted February 5, 2015 I was banded on Dec 18th (so I'm week 7 post-op) and have had a fantastic experience thus far, having had an easy recovery, a .5cc fill on January 22nd and dropping 30 pounds almost effortlessly. I appear to have stalled/ hit my first plateau. After having a fill (bringing me up to 4.6 ccs in the band) on January 22, I have been finding an increase in my hunger and a decrease in my periods of satiety. I'm following the protein/fibre rules, eating small portions (about 1/2 - 3/4 cup max), chewing my food slowly, not snacking in the evenings, etc. Up until now, everything has worked beautifully and I was losing at a good rate. I figure I am not in the green zone, and should probably arrange for another fill in a couple of weeks. In the meantime though, has anyone experienced a stall out there, and if so, any advice on how to kickstart the weight loss again? Would love to hear from you! JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted February 5, 2015 Yep. This is the hard part. Sticking to your food plan while hunger is returning and the green zone isn't achieved yet. YET. Get your fill and keep on your plan. You'll lose weight and if you go for monthly fills you'll get to the green. Good luck ! Green is definitely worth the effort and patience of getting there. samcat681 38 Posted February 6, 2015 I am getting to this point as well. I go for my first fill next week. It was like the hunger returned overnight with a vengeance. I have found the support from Dr Cobourn's office to be amazing. We just need to keep our heads in the game and focus on the prize. Hang in there and know your not alone in your journey.
