Lol you wont have room in your 1 to 2 oz tummy. You have to fill it with Protein. It better be a real burger and not the crap from McDonald's

Honestly? All of it but only if you sit in front of it for 1.5 hours. In a normal 30 mins setting, most of the burger and maybe 3-4 individual fries. Maybe 1/4 of the shake.< /p>

For me no bun, no burger (I can't eat bread anymore it makes me nauseous, great part of the sleeve). There is no want to eat burgers for me. I have tried fries, I can only eat a few (a quarter max of small fries). No shake. It will make me sick from all the sugar. My tastes have changed 100%. I'm not by any means saying I stick 100% to my program, but I have given up a lot for my new sleeve life. I must say something about McDonald's fries always sound good....in theory, until I get one in and my stomach says NOPE.

If I had all that in front of me, I'd only be able to eat about 3/4 of the burger and take a sip or 2 of the shake and I'd be uncomfortably full.

I can eat ANY of it - shake, burger, and fries - there's just not enough room in Frankensleeve for ALL of it.

So I'd have to decide how much of each food I wanted before starting to eat.

Probably half to 3/4 of one patty. I wouldn't touch the bread (makes me feel queasy and uncomfortable). If I had room after eating the patty I might be able to do 3-4 fries? I would try to resist them though. I also wouldn't touch the shake - no eating and drinking at the same time, and the shake is a waste of my calorie allotment for the day. If I waited 30 minutes after eating the theoretical hamburger patty and fries, I would guess I might be able to do 1/4 of a milkshake.

I reallllly think you need to research this surgery more and come to terms with reality - you WILL NOT be able to eat like you are now and lose weight. If you're not willing to give up fast food, you're not going to lose weight. That's the case with surgery or without.

Half of the burger and a few fries (like maybe 5 or 6). No shake.

or

All of the shake and nothing else.

or

All of the patty (sans bread) and the veggies and half of the fries.

My choice is usually to have half of the burger and just a few fries. I almost always skipped the shakes because I have never liked to drink my calories. That hasn't changed post-surgery. I have not had a shake since the surgery, and it has been almost 6 months. I doubt that will change going forward.

The point of this is not ME thinking that I am going be able to eat all this good good stuff after surgery, but more of Portion Control. I have a big issue with portion control and food addiction, I dont wanna be told I can never have a few bites of the good life, hence why I think surgery is for me.... before I am 400 lbs

Not interested an anything from Mickey D's. I could eat a 5-6 ounce beef pattie with a bite or two of veggies, but that's about it. But I'm only 7.5 months out.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
