Hey guys, just ran across this today and ordered my 2 free Quest bars. I haven't tried Quest bars because I can't buy just 1 or 2 locally. They gave me 4 options (2 bars per option) to try Quest bars - totally free... all they wanted was some basic info - email, name, address, phone number. Delivery is expected in 4 to 8 weeks.

I finally got my hands on a Cookies & Cream Quest Bar :D

i just cant eat them, i know many swear by them but the texture is just so...well i cant describe it. Just not for me. people have told me to throw them in the microwave for 10 seconds, but id rather just drink a shake. But thanks for posting that, im sure people will take advantage.

If you have a GNC around you you can buy them 1 at a time.. I usually buy 3 and get 1 free. sometimes I get a case when they are on sale.

The chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate chunk and oreo are my favorites. I only use them for a quick meal if I am traveling or going somewhere where I can't eat good .

Love Quest Bars! Especially the Peanut Butter supreme, apple, and raspberry white chocolate chip. If you shop at GNC in person, you can buy 3 and get the fourth free. It is a good way to try all the flavors. Enjoy!

@@joatsaint, very nice of you to share this information. Just ordered mine to. Love my Quest bars, sometimes I order them from Amazon vs. GNC because at times, they can be cheaper.

Thanks. I asked to try the coconut one (along with chocolate Peanut Butter, which is one I eat all the time). They also have a variety pack so you can check out new flavors.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
