well, we can always stand on the corner with a sign: Will Work for Fills! :omg:

actually, I look at it like this: think of the great tax deduction I will have next year! I should get a huge refund - and that on top of the weight loss will make up for the cost of the program.

Hey that is wayyy funny! Will work for fills! You are correct it will be a good deduction. I did have to pay about $2,000.00 out of pocket and that hurt enough. But I always have a medical deduction each year. I have medical conditon unrelated to weight. That is why I had 5 years of documented medical records that stated my weight.

Hi Everyone,

I was just browsing this post, and everyone seems to be mentioning the Fill costs.. there is a lady that comes to Mesa every month and does fills for $100.00! she also works with Fill-Centers-USA, and my doctor personally recommended her to me.. I have her number, if anyone wants it.

Also, I was just informed that Dr. Simpson of Phoenix has a program were you pay a one time fee of 400.00 and you get to go to his support groups, his nutritionist, and he will fill you up for 100.00 as well..

hope this helps!

where in Mesa does the 'fill lady' do them? I wouldn't mind saving a couple hundred dollars when I do my next fill in August.

Still trying to find the money to get mine done. I found a website called prosper.com. Its a place where the company checks your credit and address and stuff and then you put up a posting about how much money you want (1000-25000) and what the highest percentage rate you would pay. People (lenders) look at them and can see your rating as far as credit goes. Its AA,A,B,C,D,E, HR each category is determined by certain credit scores. AA being the best. HR being High Risk. Anyway people can loan anywhere from 50 on up. The company takes care of getting the money back to the lenders.

Anyway I have put mine up there and we will see. If anyone wants to check it out tell them phoenixwife@yahoo.com sent ya. If you use them we both get like 25 bucks. That's 25 closer to my band!!!

Have a nice day and happy filling!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
