suitechicguy 105 Posted February 1, 2015 I was sleeved yesterday. I am home now buy have such gas pain and nausea. One of the incisions is painful too. Is this normal? I know it prob is but wanted to ask.
Chele H 427 Posted February 1, 2015 Yup, normal. Gas X helps and walking, even if it is up and down the hallway in your house. Walk several times a day. My largest incision hurt for quite a while. Were you given pain meds? I was given liquid Tylenol w/codeine. Were you given anything for the nausea? If not, call your surgeon. Maybe he can call something in to your pharmacy. No need to feel bad if something can help you. This too shall pass, feel better!
greatestnameever 49 Posted February 1, 2015 I was sleeved on Thursday and still have a little gas pain in my shoulder. I've been using Gas-X Strips, which also help with the gas-related nausea. If the doctor gave you Zofran or any other anti-nausea that should be helpful too. I never thought farting would be so important! :-)

rosa636 0 Posted February 1, 2015 Hi, I had my surgery Tuesday and I have the same conditions as you. I called my surgeon and he said to get over the counter laxatives, and gas X strips
Jenngf5 95 Posted February 1, 2015 It gets better every day. I had awful gas pains in my shoulders. By one week post op they were almost null. Warm tea and warm Soup and walking around a bit seemed to really help. U have to release it as gross as that may seem. Good luck. Speedy recovery.
