Pain right after surgery

Hey all! So I know you are supposed to have pain when eating ( drinking really) after surgery, just wondering when I'll be able to drink without pain. It kind of burns... Any insight is appreciated..

I only had pain for a day or two. Maybe ypu are eating too fast. That is the only time I have pain

I am 5 days out from surgery. The first 2-3 days were the worst w/ regards to the pain. I believe the pain was from gas. More discomfort than pain to me. But once day 4 came, I noticed the gas pains diminished. When I drink (or consume anything) too fast, I'll notice some more gas discomfort but for the most part I think it gets better w/ each passing day.....fingers crossed.
