March 25th here with Dr. Quinones! Can't wait!

Im March 31 but ill be there on the 30th will you be at Santa Fe medical clinic?

I'm flying back home the 28th but i'll definitely keep you posted on how the surgery went!

Less than 60 hours til surgery... down 16 pounds... Start Clear Liquids in the AM... I can do this!

@@defibvt, congratulations on the pre-op success! 16-pounds and before the clear liquids... you rock! So excited that your surgery date is quickly upon you. Looking forward to seeing you in Mexico at Marriott and hearing how well things go for you. Safe travels and much success. You can do it.

@@toohighofa# - congratulations on your surgery date. I'm scheduled with Dr. Alejandro Lopez on March 4th. I've heard a lot of great things about him and so looking forward to it. Please keep us posted. Wish you all the best!

Hi katyh2015. Dr. Garcia is doing my surgery. It looks like I'll be at the hospital March 3rd and 4th. :-)

@@Lrckey0610, congrats on your surgery date. Which hospital are your scheduled? I'm at VIDA Hospital with Dr. Alejandro Lopez. Surgery date is March 4th and at hospital through March 5th.

Thank you! Congrats to you as well :-) I'll be at Florence Hospital. I can't believe it. I'm getting kind of nervous. Gonna miss my kids so much.

Okay... so I'm day 2 of the liquid diet and feeling pretty good. I fly out tomorrow morning, Tuesday. Nervous and excited at the same time. Can't wait to hear from those of you scheduled this week. Praying and believing all goes well during and after for all of us!

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

      Woohoo! I have 7 more days till surgery, So far I am already down a total of 20lbs since I started this journey.
