monopoly2015 27 Posted January 31, 2015 I'm 11 days post op and I have a white stitch poking out of my incision more than an inch long. Is this normal? It's the incision where they hold the liver out of the way
kyrickchick64 468 Posted January 31, 2015 I'm pretty sure that's normal. I had the same thing with my hysterectomy.
Pac-woman 325 Posted January 31, 2015 If it looks like fishing line, the surgeon will take those out.
unbesleevable1 420 Posted February 3, 2015 It's normal. Don't pull on it. It will fall off.
hco7416 25 Posted February 4, 2015 I had one and it drove me crazy. Just had the Dr. snip it at my Dr. appt. Instand relief!
fit4life123 108 Posted February 8, 2015 I had this but it was raised just a little from my incisions so I thought it was dirt or something and tried to pull at it...(yeah, I know idiotic) I had that big "aha" moment after pulling didn't work and realized I had internal stitches...my surgeon didn't say anything about. Lesson learned, left it alone and my incision healed over it.
