Chuckie 9 Posted January 31, 2015 Mine feels like a tight discomfort in the chest with a burp or hiccup. Tonight it took me 30 minutes to eat barbecue chicken (shredded and loaded with sauce). I had about 3.5oz of it. I feel satisfied not full. I don't want to cause real pain but I feel like I need to know it can happen. Thoughts?
joatsaint 2,814 Posted January 31, 2015 When I've eaten one bite too many, I feel a painful stretching sensation. And I can feel a poking sensation at the base of my throat - where Frankensleeve joins the throat. He really doesn't appreciate being overfull!
KristenVSG2014 1,872 Posted January 31, 2015 I normally get a "wave" go through my stomach and chest. I know once I've gotten that feeling to stop. It's hard to explain. But one more bite and I'll have that uncomfortable pressure in my chest that takes 30+ minutes to go away.
gal friday 176 Posted January 31, 2015 Mine feels like I have food backed up in my esophagus. (I don't, but that's what it feels like). I'm constantly burping these little burps. There's no pain, but it's a lot of discomfort, and when it's really bad (which it hasn't been in a month) I get really sweaty. If it's really bad, I will go throw up a little of what's in there just to et to full, as opposed to overfull.
Thinkingthinner1109 485 Posted February 2, 2015 I learned before my surgery to stop eating when I felt full. One of the best pieces of advice my NUT gave me. I don't hurt or get backed up. I just push away the food when I feel full. It works great!
