Rockhound6165 2 Posted February 28, 2015 I had the surgery this past Monday(2/23/15). Already down 8lbs since then. I'm in very little pain and discomfort. I'm only having Clear Liquids and even though I feel hunger, I'm not ravishingly so. A lot of what I'm drinking I can drink all day long(Isopure, Decaf tea, water) and I'm getting in my Fluid intake easier. My wife is astounded that I'm moving around as much as I am and not in as much pain as she was. My hospital stay was OK. The staff was wonderful but I sat in a bright, loud recovery room for 7 hours and once I was in a room, there were nurses in and out all night. I understand they have a job to do but it's hard to rest when they don't let you rest. But things are fine. I go for my first follow up on Tuesday when, I hope, I move up to full liquids. Good luck to all who's surgery is coming up soon. It's really not scary.

☁️9⃣B???? 55 Posted March 1, 2015 Gofigure and ninnifer It's nice to know how much we share in common ???? More than anything, the 30th birthday just becomes a huge incentive to get things moving in our lives. I don't have any kids, it worries me that whenever I do get pregnant the weight will just come crawling back? Anyone else with the same fear? ????

☁️9⃣B???? 55 Posted March 2, 2015 Anybody with a PCOS (polycystic ovaries syndrome) I have had that complain since I initially got my period. And since the last 15 yrs I have had irregular and OCP dependent periods. I wonder if the sleeve will get me rid of my PCOS and make things regular. Anyone else sharing the same? ☁️9⃣B???? 55 Posted March 2, 2015 Getting sleeved on 12th March 2014!!!!!!!????????????????☺️
FinallyFit50s 202 Posted March 2, 2015 Congrats on March 12, cloud 9. I was sleeved on Thursday, February 26th, in the morning. I knew not much of what happened that day. Used a bedpan in recovery and faded back to lala-land. Found out that I had a hernia that was repaired. Had no energy to even talk. Nice quiet room in the back of the ward until 2a when I was woken up because they needed to put someone with horrible infection away from people. I walked for about 30 minutes total and got comfy in my new room. Pain with meds was not bad, but as someone else here stated, the headache and the neck pain were a total drag. I was released around 3pm on Friday. I was actually glad to go home, my new room was across from the nurses station, too dang loud. Once home, I sacked out on the couch tried to sip sip sip and didn't get much in. Day 3 was better and I am a bit sore today but can definitely drink a couple ounces at a time. I do look like I was beat up, lovenox of shots. I did not have any drains or catheters left in after surgery. Day 4 and I'm definitely happy that I did this. Down 7 pounds already! GettingAngBack 0 Posted March 3, 2015 I was sleeved on 2/2 in Tennessee. No regrets! Recovery wasn't near as bad as I expected. Only time I cried was when I told my kids goodbye the night before and when my parents gave me a kiss before I headed back to the OR. This week I am allowed lunch meat, tuna, crackers, and cheese. So far so good. I have a problem getting near enough Water and Protein in daily. Celebrate Vitamins make me vomit. In fact it's the only thing my sleeve has not tolerated so far. Premier Protein shakes were my best friends preop and I cannot stand the taste post op so I try and get my protein in from Isopure RTD (apple melon). Since my 2 week preop diet and 4 weeks post op I'm down 39 lbs! Still have a long way to go but it's a marathon not a sprint. Good luck Feb sleevers on your journey! CC197823 42 Posted March 3, 2015 Sleeved 2/4. Feeling pretty good. My boy started spring football so I have been walking the track while they practice. Feels great to be more active verse sitting on the sideline the whole time like I've done in the past. Kind of nervous to eat its been so long, anyone else feel like this? Good thing is getting Protein from food, haven't done so well just liquids. Congrats on all those getting ready for surgery! Glad to be on the journey with those who are post-op! The best part is the loss of course: Starting weight 319 Surgery day 300 Today (1 month post)
