I see posts about breast, arm and stomach plastics but never legs. Has anyone had this done? I carry my weight in my stomach, hiney and thighs and I am going to need help in all 3 of those areas.

Just curious right now. Thanks!

I did. I had a medial thigh lift, with incisions in the groin, extending down to my knees about 6 weeks ago. I'm still swollen, so I am not sure how they will turn out. I had seromas (encapsulated pockets of fluid) in both legs, which I had to have cut out yesterday. Not all that pleasant, and I hope they heal ok! Also, one leg is a little bigger than the other (that might be swelling) and my thighs still have cellulite.....yet, I look SO much better. My thighs were a mess, to say the least. Now they look pretty average for a 52 year old. I had all the other surgeries, and my legs turned out the least perfect, but I'm still thinking they were among the greatest improvement. I might need a little tweaking, but won't know for a while.

I had the upper part of me done (boobs, stomach, and arms) and I also had the groin incision only thigh lift. Recovery was very easy for that procedure outside of the lengthy bathroom routine for the first two weeks. My scars healed perfectly, but I have one leg that has a fat wrinkle which I don't love. I have a posterior lower body lift scheduled for March, so at that time ideally my doctor will be revising my inner thigh lift to fix my wrinkle and hopefully pull up a little more skin. I was not super crazy about my brachioplasty (I love it now that it's done with though) because of the visual nature of the scars, so I went for the lesser scars on the thigh lift, which doesn't produce as dramatic of a result with contouring, but does keep the scars hidden in the groin.

Thanks guys. I will need the arms and tummy done as well, no doubt. I am scared more for my legs. Anything will be better than the loose skin though! Average for a 47yr old would thrill me! I just don't want to lose the weight and still feel like I have to completely cover myself up. I will have to pay out of pocket for it all too. That is also scary to me. I will figure it out, I suppose. Glad to hear you are happy with the results! All the best to both of you!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
