I'm waiting for the phone call to tell me what time to show up for mine tomorrow! They're supposed to call between 4 and 7 and I've been staring at my phone willing it to ring!

@@BloomingLotus YEA! I am over the moon for you!!!! My time is 9:30 in the morning (was 6 am, for 8 am, but they moved me to 7:30 arrive, 9:30 surgery) -- what's one more hour and half after all this time, sigh -- Are you ok w/the snow?

@@della street I ended up being ok with the snow - my area got some but not nearly as much as predicted. Some of my friends in Long Island got buried though! I had to show up early for my pre-op testing appointment and PCP appointment for clearance, but made it in before the travel ban and snow got too messy. Both offices were closed yesterday so I had to wait for medical clearance until today! Talk about cutting it close!

So exciting for all of us! Let's be sure to update tomorrow or Friday once we are off the heavy drugs and capable of making sense!

@@BloomingLotus Sounds good! Our daughter and her fiance live in Boston - snowed in/working @ home last couple of days -- :o) Plus, I have a friend on Cape Cod who was buried as well -- I'm so glad it worked out for you! Keep in touch! Here we go!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
