Dukeuni 2 Posted January 28, 2015 When can you start doing sit-ups/crunches? My surgery occurred on 12/29/2014. As part of my program I met with a exercise consultant. He gave me information regarding resistance training, but I do not remember anything about sit-ups or crunches. I did about 75 crunches yesterday. I was online this morning doing some more research on exercise programs I can do. One website that was tied to a lap-band company said to get doctor approval before doing sit-ups because it could cause slipping? Anyone else been told this? CherieRyde 227 Posted January 28, 2015 I was told that I could start doing them as soon as I could tolerate it. I was doing REALLY well .... then I had gallbladder surgery. I'm just now getting back into the swing of my exercise routine again.
enjoythetime 1,457 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) You should always call your doctor about anything you're unsure of and follow his or her advice to the T. Every Dr. is different so what mine recommends for me can be completely different from what yours recommends for you. Great job on starting your plan for fitness though!
