Graze or Grazing

People, what exactly is graze or grazing? I see that term a lot on here.

Eating a little bit here and little bit there all day long.

I tend to think of grazing as mindless eating. Just a bit here and a bit there. To me that's different than eating say 3 meals and 2 small Snacks or 5 small meals a day.
