MamaTo3inNH 100 Posted January 27, 2015 ... I feel like it's yummy one bite, and want to vomit with the next bite :/ ~ 8 days post-op RNY
Zoey716 98 Posted January 27, 2015 The rice may be too much for your tummy to handle. Try straining your creamed Soups.
Bandista 7,466 Posted January 27, 2015 I cannot (don't) eat rice.... Post-surgery I enjoyed potato leek Soup that comes on cartons -- found in the regular grocery store but health food section, Pacific brand. Also I liked egg drop Soup and even learned to make it. We are all different but just throwing that out there!
MamaTo3inNH 100 Posted January 27, 2015 That sounds yummy! It's not actual rice soup... Do you know cream of wheat? The powdery stuff that you add hot milk to? They make cream of rice - it's on my official "soft foods" diet sheet It's just the flavor. One bite, savory, next bite, gross. Lol.
Zoey716 98 Posted January 27, 2015 @@MamaTo3inNH - cream of wheat was also a go to for me post surgery. If you're allowed - try adding a dash of cinnamon to it for a bit of flavor!
par1959 470 Posted January 27, 2015 I had no problem a week out with Soups that were ran through the blender. I did find that most were too salty specially the creamed soups. My favorite was campbells navy bean.

COW used to make me gag but I made it the other night with Premier Protein vanilla and a large dash of cinnamon and it was delightful!
Djmohr 6,965 Posted January 28, 2015 Cream of wheat was one of the things I lived on for the first month.
