jhammer2 8 Posted March 16, 2015 I'm in central florida between tampa and orlando. I live in Lakeland. Good luck on your search for a dr. I'm also in the same area and am actually using the same doctor. I live in Plant City. I am pre-op and looking for someone to meet up with and talk things over. Would you be up to meeting up sometime?

skc72 138 Posted March 23, 2015 @@Sam58 how's the pre op diet going? I'm wrapping mine up today for Clear Liquids tomorrow, surgery on Wednesday!
ItalianScope 4 Posted March 23, 2015 Did the pre op diet get easier? That's so great your surgery is on Wednesday! I can't wait to find out how everything went! Good luck if I don't talk to you before Wednesday!
skc72 138 Posted March 23, 2015 It did get easier....about day 6 for me. I will update as soon as I am able to. Good luck to you all who are going in this week!
jhammer2 8 Posted March 25, 2015 I'm kind of confused on how serious I should be with the weight loss 6 months before... only because I was told that if you lose too much that you will be denied. But also scared because I was told the insurance company doesn't want to see any gain also. Skc72, did you have any required medical weight loss for insurance? I was recently denied for gaining two lbs during my 6 month period. I have Aetna. I would say you best bet is to just lose a little or stay the same. Apparently they are very picky! Sam58 16 Posted March 25, 2015 Skc72 I am doing great. I like you after 6 days it was ok. Good luck with your surgery... Will be looking forward to hearing from you????
ItalianScope 4 Posted March 25, 2015 Jhammer: Oh no! I recently gained like 4 lbs! I still have 3 more months but I'm so scared this is going to make them deny me! That is just stupid they would deny you over 2 lbs! Just my hormones can make me gain 2lbs...I have Humana so hopefully I can get back down in the next 3 months. Were you 2 lbs heavier in the end? Or you just gained at some point during your 6 mos?
skc72 138 Posted July 23, 2015 How's everyone doing?? Had my surgery 3/25 and down 40lbs as of this week. It's slow but steady!

lmm300missouri 95 Posted July 24, 2015 I gained at least once in six months but made sure I stayed between my weight levels to qualify as bcbs told me if I went below my 35 with bmi I could loose out. But they also like to see weight loss as it is a sign during your waiting period that you can be successful. I made it and just got approved recently
