tracyussery 0 Posted January 26, 2015 I had my surgery Jan 8th. Loving it so far! However, still adapting to the lack of appetite. I'm STRUGGLING, but managing to get a Protein shake in, greek yogurt and Water. About 600 calories a day. I've started feeling shaky, nauseated and light headed. ALmost like i'm going to pass out. Wondering if I could have low sugar, Iron, (already struggle with low blood pressure). anyone else?
Stevehud 1,790 Posted January 26, 2015 Those are also the symptoms of dehydration, as well. How much liquid are you getting in? You should be getting in at least 64 ounces plus your "meals" Low blood sugar should only be a factor if you have diabetes,or hypoglycemia. Especially since your pretty much living on low to no sugar for quite awhile after surgery. I would contact your doctor or ER. you may need a good bag or two of Fluid IV to get you back up to hydrated. By always contact your team. Good luck!
