Huge Winter Storm Predicted Same Day As Sx

I'm trying not to freak out. But there is a huge winter storm predicted for Monday into Tuesday. And my surgery is scheduled for Tuesday morning! I know that I will get there. I live 20 minutes from the hospital and I'll leave an hour or more early to get there. But I am so worried that the hospital or the surgeon may cancel. I plan on calling my surgeon's office tomorrow just to see if they ever cancel due to inclement weather. And when the hospital calls me with my admission time I will ask them the same thing. I realize that it will not be the complete end of the world if it gets rescheduled, but I have already waited so long, have my heart completely set, I am finally truly ready and committed to weight loss. I have the days requested and approved to be off from my job, as do my boyfriend and mother. So not only would a cancelation be very upsetting, but myself and my family would have to try to get different days off and whatnot. By no means would I want anyone risking their life to get there! I am just wondering if anyone had heard of surgeries getting canceled due to snow?..

wellllll if doc can't get to hospital.........

hopefully that won't be the case

since storm predicted for tuesday, he should be prepared for the inevitable snow

he is a busy man with many surgeries planned for the day

I'm sure he'll do his darndest to get to the hospital

even if he can't drive through the snow

maybe he can rent a pair of skiis

a few snow huskies to get him to the hospital

i understand that mom and boyfriend and you have taken time off.............but their work should also understand your situation due to weather

please don't stress out (it can give you wrinkles )

What hospital?

Mine just called to confirm arrival time but waiting in surgeon call back. If we have three feet doubt it will haven which is so upsetting after 13 days of liquids!!!!

Well thank you everyone for all of the well wishing! But unfortunately I got the call today that the hospital is canceling all of the surgeries tomorrow. So it wasn't even up to my doctor. I am rescheduled for next Tuesday now. One more grumpy week of pre op diet. In the long run I know it won't make a difference, but I kinda feel like stomping my feet.
