Kya Wolf 69 Posted January 25, 2015 Has anyone tried the Patches from patch MD? They have Multivitamin, Calcium and more in a patch form. I have such a hard time remembering to take my Calcium tabs I am thinking of getting it. Wondering if anyone has tried them and what you think. http://www.patchmd.com/Vitamin-D3-Calcium-Topical-Patch.html
swimbikerun 1,046 Posted January 25, 2015 I'm not getting a good feel, from their website: "These statements have not been evaluated by the food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you are pregnant, nursing, have any serious health conditions or take certain medications, please consult your doctor or other healthcare professional before using this product." I would want to see double blind type study proof for this one.
Kya Wolf 69 Posted January 25, 2015 Yeah, I saw that. I am going to ask my MD about them on Wednesday.
Breaking Red 59 Posted January 26, 2015 I think most vitamins/minerals/supplements have that statement. None of them are regulated by the FDA. What I'm leery of- idk if Vitamins are absorbed thru the skin. Outside of magnesium I don't know if any other ones are

The Vitamin and supplement industry has a well funded and powerful lobby that has managed to keep vitamins/supplements away from the prying eyes of the FDA. I just grabbed my bottle of B12, from a nationally recognized brand, and it has the same exact label - all of them do.
